History
Maritime Insurance Group, Inc. was originally founded in 1937 by Harold and Bill Gottsacker as the Gottsacker Agency in Sheboygan, WI.

As the surrounding area grew and times changed so did the Gottsacker Agency, evolving into one of the largest independently owned agencies in Wisconsin with expertise in Commercial Property and Casualty, Employee Benefits, and Personal Insurance.

From our locations in Sheboygan, Manitowoc and Plymouth, Maritime Insurance Group has continued this tradition and developed divisions that specialize in specific risk areas...from the most basic individual customer needs to the most sophisticated corporate requirements.

Each member of our staff is highly trained and skilled within their respective areas of insurance expertise. All of our agents are licensed by the State of Wisconsin and many of our staff members have earned professional designations in their chosen field. They have also assumed roles of leadership in various professional organizations such as the Sheboygan County Independent Insurance Agents Association, the Wisconsin Independent Insurance Agents Association, the Wisconsin Association of Health Underwriters and the National Association of Health Underwriters.
